A man died following a standoff with police at a home in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, a coroner confirmed with NBC10.

The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon along the 2400 block of Applebutter Road in Lower Saucon Township. Footage from SkyForce10 showed police and SWAT officers outside of the home.

Later during the day, the Lehigh County Coroner confirmed that a 37-year-old man was shot during a standoff with police. The man — who has not yet been identified pending the notification of his family members — was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:45 p.m.

An autopsy will be performed on the man on Thursday, March 26.

Investigators have not revealed what led to the standoff or shooting.
