BERKS COUNTY, Pa. – A medical team from Berks and Lancaster counties is hard at work on a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic.
We told you about the trip earlier this month.
Today the doctors and nurses took time to speak with us and show us around one of the four primary care clinics where they’re working.
They also shared some photos.
Doctors William Lovett and Renee Riddle have been going on these trips for several years. They say it’s been a busy week-and-a-half.
“We are working together with the doctors that are here. They are around us, with us all the time. They know the patients and we are working with them, bringing medicines here that they don’t always have as well as working the protocols they have,” said Lovett.
The team is also made up of medical students.
