Cora Castellani picked up right where she left off in the 2025 season.

The Valley View infielder laced a one-out single to left field that scored Lily Smith and Grace Munley as the Cougars rallied past Pittston Area, 12-11, on Wednesday afternoon.

Castellani finished her day 3 for 5 with two runs and two RBIs. Abbi Call started her senior year with a 4-for-4 night, which included two home runs and five RBIs. Maggie Hallett also hit a home run and drove in three in the victory.

Munley entered in the second inning in relief of Call to pick up her first victory.

Samantha Herbert had a home run, and finished with two hits and three RBIs. Mikaila Sarf was 2 for 4 with two RBIs, while Jillian Haas hit a homer and drove in two.

Scranton Prep 12, Lackawanna Trail 10: At Scranton Prep, Riah Hogan had four hits, including a home run and two doubles, and three RBIs, as the Classics outdueled the Lady Lions in a slugfest.

Abby Wilce had a home run, two doubles, four RBIs and four runs, Emelia Williams had three doubles and two runs, Nina Franeschelli had two doubles, two RBIs and three runs and Odayla Cardoso had two hits, including a triple, one RBI and one run, as Scranton Prep compiled 13 extra-base hits.

Kacie Antolick and Kate Jones each had four hits for Lackawanna Trail.

Western Wayne 4, Holy Redeemer 3 (8 inn.): At Casey Park, Olivia Black hit a solo homer in the eighth inning as the Wildcats picked up a one-run, extra-inning win over Holy Redeemer.

Redeemer trailed by one in the fifth, but an RBI groundout by Covington Lehman scored Zoe Pecuch to knot the game at 3.

Ava Thomas had two of the six Redeemer hits as Lehman and Hailey Pius each drove in a run. Thomas threw all eight innings, striking out nine.

Black, Hannah DeStefano and Adysen Wargo each had two hits for Western Wayne.

West Scranton 13, Hazleton Area 3 (6 inn.): At Hazle Twp., the Lady Invaders hit three Hazleton Area pitchers 13 times as West picked up the victory.

Mia Tallo had the big night, going 3 for 4 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs. Sydney Williams, Brianna Connor, Sophia DeLuca, Laney Mackie and Lauren Tumavitch each had two hits.

Kaleiah Connor picked up the win, allowing five hits and striking out six.

Kayla Lagowy drove in two runs for the Cougars.

Lakeland 15, Forest City 0: At Lakeland, McKaelyn Eremo had three hits, including two doubles, three RBIs and three runs as the Lady Chiefs rolled to a four-inning victory.

Lakeland’s Olivia Lach had three hits, including a triple, three RBIs and three runs, and Zoey Gregory had two hits, including a double, one RBI and one run, and pitched four shutout innings, allowing just one hit and striking out five.

Kamri Naniewicz added two hits, three RBIs and a run for the Lady Chiefs.

Mia Eccles had a hit for the Lady Foresters.

Riverside 16, Scranton 1: At Riverside, Mikayla Smith had a triple, three RBIs and two runs in the Lady Vikes’ four-inning victory.

Kate Reynolds had one hit, four RBIs and one run, and Emily Chilek, Makenzie Keller and Caitlynn Lewis each added a hit for Riverside.

Northwest 4, North Pocono 3: At Northwest, Jenna Robaczewski cracked a two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to break a 2-2 tie and help the Lady Rangers surprise North Pocono in a nonleague game.

Callie Moyer had two hits and winning pitcher Natalia Ninotti helped her cause with a double.

Olivia Charles and Riley Grambo each had two hits for the Lady Trojans. Paige Dymek homered in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game at 2. After Robaczewski put Northwest back in front, Charles doubled and scored in the bottom of the sixth to bring North Pocono within one. In the bottom of the seventh, Isabella Forgione doubled with two outs, but Robaczewski struck out the final batter to save the victory.
