ALLEN TWP., Pa. – Northampton County is one step closer to having a new data center.

Tuesday night, the Allen Township Board of Supervisors approved an amended plan to use a one-million square-foot warehouse as a data center.

The warehouse, owned by Prologis, sits on Liberty Drive near a quarry lake.

Other data centers are also being proposed in other parts of the Lehigh Valley, including South Whitehall Township, Lower Mount Bethel Township and Upper Macungie Township.
