Mason Finegan had a two-run double in the top of the second inning to help send Lakeland on its way to a 6-1 win at Valley View in a nonleague baseball game Wednesday.

Chase Magnot also drove in two runs for the Chiefs and Dylan Loomis doubled. J.P. Malak and Justin King combined on a six-hitter, each with four strikeouts.

Jon Anuszewski had two hits and Brody Call had one hit and one RBI for the Cougars.

Wallenpaupack 4, Wyoming Valley West 3: At Wallenpaupack, Thomas Kiersted scored on a wild pitch on an 0-2 count with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning to provide the game-winning run in the Buckhorns’ nonleague victory.

Kiersted reached base on an error to begin the inning and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt and infield groundout.

CJ Doty pitched two innings of relief to get the win. Kiersted tossed the seventh to earn the save.

Noah Fetko led off the top of the first inning for Wyoming Valley West with a home run.

Pottsville 10, West Scranton 5: At Battaglia-Cawley Field, Landon Trout had two doubles among his three hits and knocked in three runs to power Pottsville past West Scranton in a nonleague matchup.

Max Clews added two hits and two RBIs for the Tide. Brody Hess chipped in two hits and one RBI.

West Scranton managed only three singles by Mason Lesh, Cameron Cole and Brayden Rodney.

Wilkes-Barre Area 13, Honesdale 0: At Honesdale, Wilkes-Barre Area erupted for 10 runs in the top of the first inning to roll to a five-inning, nonleague victory.

Jake Howe went 3 for 3 with a double, three runs and one RBI for the Wolfpack. Koleton Davies, Tyler Daugherty and Jacob Chupka added two hits and two RBIs apiece.

Alex Hufford and Ben Thomas combined on a three-hit shutout. Hufford walked one and struck out six in four innings. Thomas fanned the side in the bottom of the fifth.

Jake Fine doubled for one of the Hornets’ three hits.

Holy Redeemer 9, Western Wayne 0: At Western Wayne, Noah Hummel and Joe Korus combined on a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts as Holy Redeemer opened its season with a win over the Wildcats.

Hummel went the first four innings, striking out six and walking two. Korus walked one and struck out four over the final three innings.

Freshman third baseman Reilly Hossage had four hits and one RBI. Alex Gordon had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Korus added a single and two RBIs.

Vinny Baldini reached base twice via a walk for Western Wayne.
