PHILADELPHIA — Another wave of No Kings protests will take place across the country on Saturday, including multiple locations in Philadelphia.
The No Kings movement gained national attention last year when millions of people participated in coordinated protests in thousands of cities and towns. The gatherings aim to reject the policies and actions of the Trump administration.
Organizers said in a statement they expect turnout to surpass previous events. More than 3,000 events are planned in every congressional district in all 50 states, and more events are added daily. Organizers say attendance could surpass the 7 million who attended an event last October.
The upcoming demonstrations come amid heightened political tensions, including backlash over federal immigration operations and U.S. involvement in an escalating conflict with Iran.
Philadelphia’s largest rally will take place in Center City, while different neighborhoods hold their own No Kings protests.
