ERIE — The Erie Zoo and Erie Events signed a management agreement on Monday that secure’s the zoo’s future and prevents its closure amid financial woes.
As part of the deal, Erie Events has taken ownership of the land, which was formerly owned by the city of Erie. To provide financial stability in the face of possible closure concerns, Erie Events will provide $500,000 in annual funding.
