READING, Pa. – Berks County Communications officials have confirmed a shooting incident in the city of Reading overnight that injured one man.

Officers responded to the area of South 10th and Franklin streets just after 2:20 a.m. Sunday for a reported shooting.

Police on scene located a 45-year-old man who sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm. He was transported to Reading Hospital for treatment.

Investigators were able to determine the shooting took place outside Rancho Merengue Night Club during an altercation.

The shooter, whom police describe as an unidentified male, fled the scene following the incident.
