An impressive lightning strike was captured hitting the ground outside a home in Western Pennsylvania. Video shared with Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 by Robert Erdely captured the booming thunder as the lightning touched the ground and lit up the surrounding trees. “You will not believe this,” Erdely could be heard saying on the video moments after the strike.Western Pennsylvania was blanketed in heavy rain as thunderstorm and flood warnings went into place Thursday evening. Several Pittsburgh area communities have seen ponding, rushing water and flooding. Heavy rain is expected to continue through Friday morning before clouds decrease through the afternoon.
