Duryea Police have filed charges against three juveniles in connection with vandalism that occurred late last month at Healey Playground.

According to the Duryea Police Department, officers responded to a report of vandalism at the park at approximately 10:46 p.m. on Sept. 27. Following an investigation, police identified and charged three juveniles believed to be involved in the incident.

Two 15-year-olds from Dunmore and one 16-year-old from Duryea were charged through Luzerne County Juvenile Court with criminal mischief, criminal conspiracy to commit criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Police said Healey and Community Parks are open daily from about 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., weather and season permitting. Anyone found in the parks outside those hours or when the parks are locked may face trespassing charges. Both parks are equipped with surveillance cameras, and police commended community members who continue to report vandalism and other illegal activity.
