Ny’Leek Ellison was getting off a SEPTA bus at 9th and Tilghman streets in Chester in February 2025 when he was hit.
Police arrested the driver, Caleb Campell, weeks later.
Campbell has since plead no contest to aggravated assault by vehicle and accidents involving death or injury while not licensed.
Chester Police tell Action News that they’re seeking upgraded charges against Campbell in the wake of Ellison’s death.
A vigil will be held for Ellison at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the same intersection where the accident happened.
