“The fun has begun,” said head coach Bill Manning. “We opened our season today with good racing and encouraging results. We faced three teams ranked in the top ten in the NCAA and raced them closely in five of the six NCAA races. The crews showed that their good work these past seven months puts them in contention. They are energized. The challenge now is to improve week-to-week and to improve more than others do. We have a quick turnaround as we head to the Rocky Top Invite in Oak Ridge on Thursday.”
