HANOVER TWP., Pa.- Apparently the Windy City is a popular destination for Lehigh Valley travelers.
United Airlines is adding a fourth daily non-stop flight to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD) from Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE).
According to a schedule posted by United, the new flight will take off from ABE around 2:15 p.m., starting April 30.
United currently has flights from ABE to ORD every day around 6:15 a.m., 10:35 a.m. and 5:40 p.m.
The mid-day flight was added to the lineup last August.
Chicago is United’s only non-stop destination from the Lehigh Valley. It previously operated its Landline Bus service from ABE to Newark Liberty International Airport, but that was discontinued last September.
United is one of four airlines serving ABE; the others are Allegiant, American and Delta.
American Airlines’ nonstop service from Lehigh Valley International to Chicago O’Hare will resume on May 21.
According to its website, American will offer two daily non-stop flights, departing ABE around 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
