Boots vs. badges: Reading firefighters, police face off to support youth sports | Reading Area

READING, Pa. – Reading firefighters and police officers faced off for a good cause Wednesday night.

The fourth annual “Boots vs. Badges” game was held at the 3rd and Spruce Recreation Center.

First responders played alongside kids in the youth sports programs.

Reading’s new fire chief took time out of his first day on the job to coach his team.

Money raised from the event will go towards the youth sports programs.

The final score was 58-54, with Team Badges declaring victory.
