Cherry blossom season is underway in Philadelphia, and this year’s lineup includes everything from sake tastings under the blooms to immersive spring pop-ups and garden strolls.
Morris Arboretum & Gardens
This Thursday, April 2, this expansive Arboretum in Chestnut Hill will host Sake and Sakura: Sip and Stroll. Kicking off at 5 p.m., participants can celebrate Japanese traditions with a self-guided stroll through the Cherry Blossoms and walk to a table set up underneath a blossoming tree to sample different types of sake. Tickets come out to be $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers.

Newsroom Philly
To celebrate Cherry Blossom season, this Northern Liberties spot has transformed into The Bloom Room. The space has been decked to the nines with floral decor, and guests can also sip from a seasonally themed cocktail menu while there. Spring programming rotates nightly here with DJ-led parties, aerialist performances, themed happy hours, karaoke nights, and brunch experiences. A full schedule can be found online.
Andalusia Historic House, Gardens & Arboretum
Those looking for cherry blossoms in Philadelphia can head to Andalusia this spring. Overlooking the Delaware River and 13 miles from the city, this picturesque property once belonged to the Biddle Family. The 19th-century Greek Revival home is currently surrounded by stunning, native woodlands and spectacular formal gardens, but the land and what it holds date back to the 18th Century.
On top of the blossoms, this time of year also features blooming and fragrant crab apple trees in the Graperies, The Woodland Walk littered with daffodils, and The Easter Gardens are another fan favorite, boasting an array of blossoming magnolias, redbuds, and tulips designed to be at their peak.
Fairmount Park
Fairmount Park in and of itself offers some of the most prime views of the beauties. Philadelphians can head to the Park’s Centennial District, Belmont Plateau and the Martin Luther King Junior Drive trail to soak it all in.
Philadelphia Museum of Art
The PMA offers some prime views of Cherry Blossoms. By just walking around the venue (be sure to check out some of the designated walking trails), Philadelphians will be able to catch peeks of the staple springtime additions around every corner.

Kelly Drive
The Schuylkill River Trail is iconic on its own, but this time of year is especially fruitful with many Cherry Blossoms in bloom. Locals can begin where Girard Bridge passes over Kelly Drive and continue north along the trail to the ‘Playing Angels’ statues to catch over 500 of the trees.
Longwood Gardens
Aside from admiring all of the Yoshino and Higan cherry blossoms here, locals can also indulge in a unique evening at 1906. On April 23, for one-night-only, the Duckhorn 50th Anniversary Wine Dinner will be in full swing with pre-release and limited wines not typically available outside Napa Valley. Guided by P.J. Alviso, guests will enjoy a seasonal, garden-inspired menu by Chef George Murkowicz, with expertly paired courses like roasted king salmon with Cherry Blossom shoyu. Kuro
Locals can head down to the beach to celebrate spring with the Cherry Blossom Festival at Kuro, located inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. Running now through May 10, this seasonal experience has transformed the award-winning Japanese craft kitchen into a garden oasis inspired by Japan’s blooms. While dining here, guests can enjoy a limited-time menu curated by Executive Chef Leslie Daniels, featuring dishes like Hamachi Kama, Sakura Masu Nigiri, and Wagyu Sandos.
