Jean T. Stanzeski
OBITUARY
Jean T. Stanzeski, 95, of Scranton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. Her battle with cancer ended with her many prayers to the Blessed Mother being answered.
Born in Scranton April 22, 1930, she was the daughter of Stanley and Alice(Klocko) Stanzeski. A graduate of the Scranton School District, she had a long career at Gann Dawson before her retirement. During retirement she was a caretaker for her sister Ann Sarokas.
A devout Catholic and member of Saint Stanislaus Church, now Mary Mother of God Parish; she had great faith in the Blessed Mother and was praying the rosary daily.
She is survived by her sister Regina Waznak, Norristown and devoted caretakers, niece Jean Ann Ruddy and her husband Thomas and other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Anthony, Chester and Walter, also her sisters Stella Field and Ann Sarokas.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. from Holy Rosary Church at Mary Mother of God Parish, 314 William Street, Scranton. Internment, St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Morgan Highway, Scranton. There will be public calling hours.
