A vehicle fire brought Pittsburgh firefighters to a Giant Eagle Market District store Friday night.

Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 saw a large presence of first responders outside the supermarket on Centre Avenue in Shadyside.

A Tesla was charging in the private parking garage at Giant Eagle when the vehicle’s battery caught on fire, Public Safety spokesperson Emily Bourne said.

Firefighters responded and quickly put out the fire.

No injuries were reported. The building and nearby cars were not damaged.
