The Allentown Fair will host Lehigh Valley artists as part of a “festival-style” showcase this summer.
Six local groups will perform Sept. 6 at the fair’s Grandstand Stage for an event called “Local Legends Live,” the first of its kind for the fair, now in its 174th year.
The six groups are The Aardvarks, Scott Marshall and The Highway Souls, Strange Culture, Common Bond, Stereotype and Social Call, the fair said in a news release. Music starts at 2 p.m. Official set times will be announced later.
The event is a “celebration of the region’s rich musical talent,” the fair said. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. April 10.
The fair will be held from Sept. 2-7 at the Allentown Fairgrounds. County musician Warren Zeiders and professional wrestling are the other two headliners announced so far.
