Police investigating suspicious death in Bensalem

Police are investigating after a body was found in Bensalem, Bucks County.

Police were called out to the 5000 block of South Hunters Court Saturday for a well-being check.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased elderly female inside the home.

The woman was later identified as 70-year-old Cynthia Bouffard of Bensalem.

Police say she appeared to have been deceased for some time in the living room of the home.

Her body was transported to the Bucks County Coroner’s Office, where an autopsy will determine the cause and manner of death.

Police say they are currently treating this as a suspicious death investigation, pending the results of the autopsy.
