A Bensalem father and son are facing felony charges after authorities allege they downloaded more than 100 images of child pornography.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children passed on a cybertip to Bensalem police that showed someone at Salem Crossing Apartments, in the 3500 block of Old Street Road was attempting to download child pornography.

Detectives narrowed the location to an apartment where Raul “Christian” Sandoval Jr., 34, and his father Raul Sandoval Sr., 58, lived, according to a Bensalem press release.

A forensic examination of the contents of the son’s computer hard drive revealed over 100 images of girls approximately 6 to12 years old posing nude with some showing prepubescent females engaging in sex with males, police said.

An examination of the father’s phone allegedly revealed multiple images of child pornography, with images of a 10 and 11 year-old girls old nude, and images of a prepubescent female having sex with an adult male.

Arrest warrants were filed and the Sandovals turned themselves in April 2 and they were arraigned before District Judge Michael Gallagher on two felony charges each of child sexual abuse materials and criminal used of a communication facility.

They were transferred to Bucks County Correctional Center in lieu of $2 million bail each. Neither man had attorney representation as of April 3, according to the court docket.
