Bucks County authorities are investigating the suspicious death of an elderly Bensalem woman found emaciated in a home.Bensalem police responded to a request for a well-being check in the 5000 block of Hunters Court South on Saturday, Oct. 25.

Inside the home they found 70-year-old Cynthia Bouffard dead. She appeared to be emaciated and had been dead for some time in the living room, Bensalem police said in a press release Sunday.
Bouffard’s body was transported to the Bucks County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.At this time, Bensalem Police and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office are treating this as a suspicious death investigation pending the results of the autopsy, police said.
