CHEMUNG COUNTY, N.Y. (WETM) — An Elmira Heights man was arrested on Monday as a fugitive from justice out of Bradford County, as stated in a release from the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office.

Nicholas M. Marks, 37, was arrested on Monday, April 6, as a fugitive from justice out of Bradford County, Pennsylvania, for the charge of violation of parole for a leading charge of endangering the welfare of children, parents/guardian/other commits offense in violation of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code, according to the release.

Deputies said Marks was arrested on Monday at his place of work in the village of Horseheads, after the sheriff’s office’s Criminal Investigation Division received a warrant from the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office asking that Marks be held on the warrant. At this time, deputies said Marks was taken into custody and processed as a fugitive from justice.

As a result, Marks had his charges read in court and was sent to the Chemung County Jail, where he awaits extradition to Pennsylvania, the release stated.
