William Allen baseball goes on the road to beat Whitehall for fourth straight win | Sports

WHITEHALL, Pa. – A pair of surging East Penn Conference baseball teams squaring off on Monday as Whitehall hosts William Allen.

Both teams have won three straight coming in to this one and the Canaries were on fire in the first inning. Already up 3-0, Alejandro Cartagena smokes a ball into the gap driving in a run and the Allen lead is 4-0.

The visitors lead would swell to 7-0 before the Zephyrs mount a comeback. Trailing 8-5, sophomore Logan Shean drives it back up the middle for a big RBI to cut the deficit to 8-6.

Bottom of the seventh and the Canaries are clinging to an 8-7 lead. Daifer Moreta gets the strikeout to end the game and Allen goes on the road and knocks off Whitehall, 8-7.
