United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania announced a $10,000 donation from Honesdale National Bank through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Special Program Priorities Tax Credits, a component of the Pennsylvania Neighborhood Assistance Program. This investment will support UNC’s year-round Carbondale Farmers Market, held every Thursday from 2-7 p.m. at the Fallbrook Community Center, 185 Fallbrook St. The Carbondale Farmers Market accepts SNAP/EBT benefits. Eligible shoppers can receive an additional $2 for every $4 spent through the Food Bucks incentive program, increasing access to fresh, nutritious food for local families. For information about SNAP/EBT, Food Bucks or opportunities to serve as a cooking demonstrator, contact Lee Eckardt, Farmers Market manager, at fm@uncnepa.org.
