In a post from the Elizabeth Township Fire Department, crews were called to a home along Roy Street around 9:30 a.m. following reports of a house fire. Sky 4, Pittsburgh’s only news chopper, flew over the scene as crews worked to douse remaining hot spots inside the home. The fire was said to be a 2-alarm. We’re told the fire was under control within an hour and that units cleared the scene within two hours after flames were contained. Officials said the county fire marshal is investigating the cause.
