A fireball streaking across the sky Tuesday drew hundreds of reports across the northeast.
The American Meteor Society logged reports from our area all the way to Connecticut.
According to NASA, the meteor first became visible around 2:30 p.m. off the coast of Long Island.
The fireball eventually disintegrated above the Jersey shore.
