On Wednesday, Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt and the Pennsylvania Department of State inducted 100 Lebanon County residents into the Pennsylvania Voter Hall of Fame.
The inductees were honored at a ceremony at the St. James Players theatre in the Lebanon Valley Mall. State and county officials congratulated the inductees for keeping their voting streaks alive.
“Voter Hall of Fame inductees serve as role models for all of us,” Schmidt said. “All of them embody a patriotic commitment to our democratic process.”

Schmidt also helped induct the following four residents who have voted in at least 70 elections:
Arlene Miller of Jonestown, 70 years
Rose Lesher of Lebanon, 71 years
Priscilla Wolf of Lebanon, 75 years
Kenneth B. Light of Palmyra, 76 years
“Every single person being inducted here today has voted 50 years in a row without missing a single vote,” Sean Drasher, with the Lebanon County Bureau of Elections. “Not only that, [but] we have people who have been voting over 70 years here that are going to be inducted, so that is a remarkable feat, so we are really proud on how they represent the community.”
The Department of State started the Pennsylvania Voter Hall of Fame in 1986. Since then, more than 25,000 voters statewide have been inducted, including more than 300 Lebanon County residents.
