Historic 1783 Beidler House in Berks Co. gives students a glimpse into local past | Southern Berks County

ROBESON TWP., Pa. – Home-schooled students are getting an up-close look at local history.

Students toured the Beidler House in Robeson Township.

The house was built in 1783 to serve as a home for the operator of the nearby mill.

It’s near the Allegheny Aqueduct, which had to be built to keep ships in the Schuylkill Canal from entering the Allegheny Creek.

The house is only open a few times a year.
