Erie County wants to hear more from the community on what they want from the future home of the Buffalo Bills.

No one spoke during the public comment period Tuesday at the latest meeting of the Community Benefits Oversight Committee.

Officials say they are planning to host more meetings at night and in the city of Buffalo in the hopes of increasing engagement.

“We will strategize to give the community more opportunity in the evening to come and be a part of it to express their comments in the public comment period and also to give information that will help them be better able to navigate even the website,” said Community Benefits Oversight Committee chairman Rev. Mark Blue.

The CBOC monitors and enforces the Community Benefits Agreement between the Bills and Erie County. This agreement sets expectations for community investment, job opportunities, infrastructure improvements, and access to resources in Buffalo.

Construction on the new Bills stadium is expected to be complete in time for next football season.
