Dearfield, Colorado, was established on May 5, 1910, by a young entrepreneur named Oliver Toussaint Jackson. The Misa Tariro, or “Mass of Hope,” was commissioned by the Boulder Chorale from Kutandara’s Randy McIntosh over a decade ago. Kutandara, an African marimba ensemble from the Zimbabwean traditions, brings joy and the urge to dance wherever they go.
