Cheryl ‘Cheri’ Lynn Evans Gregori
OBITUARY
On April 11, the world lost a kind and beautiful soul and heaven gained a glorious angel whose generous heart and kind spirit leave behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.
Cheryl Cheri Lynn Evans Gregori of Eynon passed away at LVHN Cedar Crest after a long and courageous battle with illnesses and infections she fought so hard through. Throughout her fight, Cheri remained a strong and remarkable example of resiliency, persistence, and love.
The beautiful daughter of Elaine Hynak Evans, Cheri was born in Scranton and graduated from Valley View High School. She worked at Dun & Bradstreet until its closure, Ann Marie Barretts Day Care, and Live With It.
She was the most loving and incomparable mom to her two daughters of whom she was most proud, Tiffany and Isabella. She shared her time and her many talents with the clubs and programs in which her daughters were involved. Throughout the suffering and pain she endured, she was nothing but strong for her girls and family.
Cheris thoughtfulness and creativity were endless. Whether baking cookies, hand-painting hair bows for Valley View Bulldogs Cheer, props for Carmel Arditos School of Dance, or themed snacks for Valley View musicals, Cheri always was quick to lend her kind, compassionate, and talented hands.
A confectionery queen, Cheri mastered every type of cookie, especially at the holidays. Her buckeyes were perfect, never lasting longer than five minutes from when they landed on the holiday dining table. Her peanut butter pie was unequaled, and no chocolate chip M&M cookie was left behind. Everything Cheri made was full of flavor and love.
Cheri was extremely proud watching Tiffanys photography business take flight and Isabellas acting and singing talents take center stage. She enjoyed fishing trips with Al and watching sunsets together, especially during her final days.
Cheri loved her husband and her daughters endlessly and cared deeply for her family and friends. She always had a genuine smile and a kind heart. She will be missed beyond words but the legacy she created lives on.
Cheri is survived by her loving husband of thirty-three years, caregiver, and dedicated advocate Albert Gregori, Jr.; her loving daughters Tiffany (fianc, Michael Mazula), Jessup, and Isabella, Eynon; mother, Elaine Evans; brother, Ron (Frannie) Evans; sisters-in-law, Leann Evans; Karen (Jim) Dove; Rene (Shawn) Zehel; nieces Leah Beth Evans, Taylir (Jacob) Sommers; Olivia Zehel (godchild), and nephews Cody (Veronika) Evans and Austin (fiance Catherine Kunz) Zehel; great nephew, Elijah; parents-in-law Albert and Geri Gregori; and her best friend, Princess; aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.
Cheri was preceded in death by her brother, David Evans.
The funeral will be conducted on Saturday from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N.
