A West Pittston man has been charged with cheating while playing cards at Mohegan Pennsylvania last week, according to state police.

John Joseph Rubino, 27, is accused of “pinching” his bets, or removing chips after realizing he had a losing hand, while playing blackjack at the Plains Twp. casino early the morning of April 10.

Troopers with the Bureau of Gaming Enforcement allege Rubino cheated the casino out of $95 during several hands of play.

Rubino is charged with misdemeanor counts of reducing a gaming loss by fraud, receiving stolen property and other gaming violations.

Court records indicated he had not been arraigned on the charges as of Tuesday.
