A 10-year-old boy was taken to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a car near a busy street in the City of Erie.
Emergency crews were called to the area of East 38th and Stanton Streets around 3 pm after the child was struck by a car while riding their bike.

According to reports from the scene, the child suffered minor injuries and was taken to UPMC Hamot while the driver stayed on the scene.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
