Taxpayers can enjoy free treats from Kona Ice in recognition of Tax Day this week in the Lehigh Valley.
The shaved ice brand will offer free tropical shaved ice Wednesday as part of declaring Tax Day as “National Chill Out Day” in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey, a Kona Ice news release said.
In the Lehigh Valley, mobile trucks will be giving out the shaved ice 4-5 p.m. at 501 E. Center St. in Upper Nazareth Township and 6-8 p.m. at 189 Johnston Drive in Bethlehem, Kona Ice listed online.
Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck will also offer free frozen beverages at a few locations in Pennsylvania and Delaware, though not in the Lehigh Valley.
“Tax Day can be one of the most stressful days of the year,” Bill Green at Kona Ice in King of Prussia said in the news release. “We wanted to turn that around. Our goal is to provide a ‘tropical escape’ right here in our own backyard. There’s no paperwork and no fine print — just free Kona and coffee to help our neighbors chill out.”
