Awards have been presented for this year’s Berks-Schuylkill “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” contest.

Students from 33 middle schools teamed up with local manufacturers and created short videos about how products are made.

The goal is to increase awareness about manufacturing careers.

Students took home awards in several categories Tuesday night at the DoubleTree Hotel in Reading, with the outstanding overall program being awarded to D.H.H Lengel Middle School in Pottsville.

The Viewers Choice Award went to Blue Mountain Middle School out of Orwigsburg.
