SPRING TWP., Pa. – With high costs, especially at the gas pump, more families are looking for ways to stretch their budget.

A children’s pop-up in Berks County is stepping in, offering big discounts and drawing in a growing crowd.

69 News Reporter Sydney Kay was in Spring Township with how the event is helping families save.

Just Between Friends Reading‘s sale offers thousands of children’s items from 50-90 percent the cost of retail value.

Body Zone Sports and Wellness Complex is housing more than half a million children’s items, including clothes, shoes, and toys.

Lynda Weed with Just Between Friends said people from the community take items that their children have grown out of to sell at the event.

A portion of the sales goes back to the sellers.

More than 7,000 people are expected to go to the sale.

A presale event is being held Wednesday. People can get tickets at reading.jbfsale.com.

The event will be open to the public Thursday through Sunday. The price is $3 at the door. People can get in for free with a canned food item or get a free ticket at the website.
