PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WTAJ) — The “animal crush” cases aren’t over as an Illinois woman pleaded guilty two weeks after a Pennsylvania man.
Amanda Leigh Fourez, 33, of Catlin, Ill., pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to create and distribute animal crush videos and then distributing those videos through online chat groups, according to U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti.
Fourez, along with 44-year-old Joseph Buckland, of Mount Pleasant, conspired with others to pool their money to commission the creation of “animal crush” videos, Rivetti added in a release. The videos show actual “obscene” conduct in which non-human mammals, in this case, monkeys, were purposely crushed, burned, drowned, suffocated, impaled, and tortured. They were then distributed to other group members and chat groups via instant messages.
According to Rivetti, Fourez acknowledged sending at least 11 payments to others and knowingly distributing the videos at least 10 times. Fourez archived and controlled the distribution of said videos.
Latest Crime
Fourez’s sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 27, and she faces up to seven years in prison and a $500,000 fine.
