Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival
The Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival returns to Main Street this Sunday, April 19, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 70 food trucks and 20 gourmet vendors will serve everything from BBQ and global street eats to sweets. Vendors span Bake’n Bacon, Deke’s BBQ, Cousins Maine Lobster, The Famous 4th Street Cookie Company, Kismet Bagels, Cactus Cantina, Tubby Robot Ice Cream Company and plenty more (a full list is available online.) The rain-or-shine, free-admission festival also features live music across two stages, local shopping, and an expanded family-friendly area for 2026. The best part? Main Street will be closed to traffic, making it easier to explore.
Panda Fest
This year’s Panda Fest will feature more than 60 food and merchandise vendors serving over 100 dishes representing culinary traditions from across Asia. Beyond the food, the festival will also feature a curated marketplace highlighting crafts, apparel, accessories, and artisanal goods inspired by Asian heritage. Cultural programming throughout the weekend will additionally include traditional art demonstrations, contemporary dance performances, theatrical showcases, and live entertainment.
All attendees will receive two free gifts — a customized panda pin with a Philly feature, and an inflatable branded headband, along with access to all the food, culture and themed fun. VIP ticket holders receive all general admission benefits plus an additional bag and a skip-the-line ‘fast pass’ for entrance. The family-friendly event welcomes children under six for free without a ticket. Strollers are welcome, as are pets on a leash. The event will be in full swing on April 18 (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and April 19 (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.) Tickets start at $12.

Green Day Acoustic Sing-Along
James Haro In Storage will bring the anthems of Green Day to life at Quig’s Pub on Thursday, April 16. The solo acoustic mega-set celebrates the band’s greatest hits and deep cuts from ‘Dookie’ through ‘American Idiot.’ Designed as a full-room sing-along with lyrics projected onscreen, the night invites fans to join in on favorites like ‘Wake Me Up When September Ends,’ ‘Minority,’ and ‘Basket Case,’ reimagined in stripped-down arrangements.
Located on the third floor of Plays & Players Theatre, Quig’s Pub offers an intimate, “actor’s speakeasy” setting for live music. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., music runs from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., and the evening kicks off with a performance from award-winning folk-pop singer/songwriter Kat Siciliano. Tickets are $10 in advance via Eventbrite (or 3 for $25) and $15 at the door.

Charm Offensive @ Reilly Memorial
This weekend, local artist John Y. Wind will present his latest work, the ‘Charm Offensive @ Reilly Memorial.’ The temporary public art installation in Fairmount Park will be on view for two days only (April 18 and 19) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Installed at the William M. Reilly Memorial, the project reimagines the historic Revolutionary War monument through reflective sculptural adornments—charms, banners, and flags—that shift and shimmer with light and movement. Presented as part of Radical Americana by The Clay Studio, with support from the Association for Public Art and InLiquid, the installation invites viewers to reconsider themes of history, identity, and migration.
Additional programming includes an artist talk, free button giveaway, and a public workshop on April 18 with Wind from 2 to 4 p.m. The installation will be set on the Northwest Terrace behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art, along Waterworks Drive— found by searching “Fountain of the Sea Horses” in map apps.
Franklin Square Opening Day
Franklin Square is celebrating 20 years in 2026, and to mark the occasion, it’s throwing a season full of fun, kicking off with its Opening Day on April 18. On that date (from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) locals can participate in Earth Day activities like eco-crafts and meet birds like a red-tailed hawk and an Eastern screech owl up close. The occasion will also feature games, giant bubbles, music, fitness fun and free carousel rides for the first 100 guests.
While there, locals can also check out the Park’s Philly-themed mini golf course, multiple playgrounds, or grab some fare from SquareBurger, including the brand’s famous “Cake Shake” made with Tastykake.
