Christina Harvey faces involuntary manslaughter, neglect of a care-dependent person, recklessly endangering another person, and other charges.

LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — A mother faces several charges after the death of her daughter in Lackawanna County.

According to the Lackawanna County District Attorney’s Office, Christina Harvey, 50, of Dickson City, allegedly denied her 18-year-old daughter basic medical care, proper hygiene, nutrition, and necessary medication.

Authorities say the daughter was nonverbal, legally blind, and entirely dependent on others.

Investigators in Lackawanna County say that alleged neglect led to the 18-year-old’s death last December.

Harvey faces involuntary manslaughter, neglect of a care-dependent person, unlawful restraint, financial exploitation of a care-dependent person, recklessly endangering another person, and related offenses.
