The Double “R” Twirlettes recently performed in the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The Twirlettes marched up Fifth Avenue and twirled for an estimated 2 million spectators who lined the parade route. They marched past Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and other NYC landmarks.
It was the 15th year the Twirlettes were selected to perform in the parade that is the oldest and largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the world. The Twirlettes are under the direction of Kathleen Mercatili.
