WEST BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A man wanted in connection with a deadly crash in Pennsylvania was captured in West Baton Rouge Parish on Tuesday, April 14.

DEADLY CRASH IN PENNSYLVANIA
That crash happened on April 10 in Bethel Township, PA.
Pennsylvania State Police report a large white truck, possibly a tractor-trailer or box truck, was traveling in the right lane when it was driven into the victim’s vehicle. The driver is suspected of hitting the tractor-trailer on the side of the road and driving off.
A 33-year-old man was reportedly outside of his tractor-trailer, adjusting the load straps, when he was hit. Phillip Daniel Henderson of Bessemer, Florida, was pronounced dead at the scene.
LOUISIANA ARREST
West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Patrol deputy pulled over a commercial box truck traveling on I-10.
During the stop, deputies discovered that the driver, Ameer Nassar, 25, of Houston, was wanted by the Pennsylvania State Police in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash. The vehicle he was driving at the time of the stop was also identified as being involved in the incident.
Nassar was taken into custody and booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office as a fugitive. He has since been transferred to the custody of the Pennsylvania State Police.
