Israeli forces block students in West Sur Baher & erect checkpoint south of Bethlehem

Occupied Quds / Bethlehem – Saba:
Israeli occupation forces on Saturday prevented school students from West Sur Baher, East Al-Quds, from crossing al-Shiyah checkpoint to reach their schools in East Sur Baher, citing administrative restrictions.

Al-Quds Governorate said the students, aged 7–15, were denied passage because their names were not registered at the checkpoint. Residents urged human rights groups to pressure for the checkpoint’s reopening.

In Bethlehem, Israeli forces set up a military checkpoint at the entrance of al-Khader, stopping vehicles, checking IDs, and causing traffic congestion.

They also dispersed a Palestinian protest in Beit Sahour against land confiscation for settlement expansion.
