BOYERTOWN, Pa. – Crews in Berks County battled a fire at Boyertown Elementary School.

It started around 1:40 a.m. Monday.

Fire officials tell 69 News that it happened inside a classroom.

They say a heating unit was on fire, and the blaze spread to books and a bulletin board.

No one was hurt in the fire.

69 News is waiting to hear back from the Boyertown Area School District to see if students will have class Monday.
