Allegheny County’s “over the counter” voting program ends Tuesday.
Tuesday marks the deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot. It’s also the last day voters can request, complete, and return mail-in ballots all in one visit to the County Office Building downtown.
This weekend, voters can also give their completed mail-in ballot to an elections employee at one of 10 ballot return sites. Those locations will be staffed and include additional security measures.
The ballot-return locations will operate from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31 and Monday, Nov. 3, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1 and Sunday, Nov. 2.

Voters must return their own ballot, or complete an authorization form to turn in a ballot for someone who is physically unable to do so.
Ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 4. Polls will be open 7 a.m. through 8 p.m. for those who wish to vote in person. Allegheny County residents can find their polling place here.
