The Eagles on Monday opened a roster spot by releasing veteran cornerback Parry Nickerson.

Nickerson, 31, has played in five games with the Eagles this season. He played 8 snaps on defense and 8 on special teams in the 38-20 win over the Giants on Sunday afternoon.

Nickerson this season has played 12 snaps on defense and 60 on special teams. Before this season, Nickerson hadn’t played in a game since 2023 with the Dolphins.

This is the first spot on their 53-man roster the Eagles have opened up and they might need a few more.

As they enter the bye week, they’re expecting to have Brandon Graham return for their Week 10 game against the Packers. And there’s also a chance both Nolan Smith and Jakorian Bennett will be activated from Injured Reserve for that game as well.

Graham, 37, has a two-week exemption that will expire on Nov. 3, so the Eagles needed to create at least one roster spot before that.

In addition to releasing Nickerson on Monday, the Eagles also released DE Titus Leo from their practice squad. Nickerson is a candidate to return to the practice squad, where he began the 2025 season. He wasn’t added to the active roster until Sept. 24.
