Free comics and family-friendly fun are coming to Erie this May.
Books Galore on Peach Street is celebrating Free Comic Book Day on Saturday, May 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering one free comic per person with selections available for readers of all ages.
Fans can pick up additional comics by donating $1 to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank or by arriving in costume as a favorite superhero, sci‑fi, or fantasy character.
The global event, now in its 25th year, celebrates the growing popularity of comics and graphic novels, many of which inspire blockbuster movies and TV shows. Whether you’re a longtime collector or new to comics, the event offers a chance to explore the art form and discover something new.
