ALLENTOWN, Pa. – One of Allentown’s signature summer league tournaments has a new home.
Executive Education is set to host the Allentown summer league and Bash at the Beach tournament this year.
The tourney started in 1995. The league followed one year later.
We caught up with some of the primary architects who announced the move.
“The league had moved from Tuesday/Thursday to Monday/Wednesday to accommodate the IronPigs” tournament director Glen Klein told us.
“Mondays there’s no games over there at all. The tournament, there’ll be no games over there at all. There’s five dates that will be posted on the website: Cedarbeachbasketball.com that will tell people when to park out front and walk around to the back entrance.
“When talking to Klein, I thought it was a perfect idea” Executive head coach Ray Barbosa said.
“Having it that Whitehall where you’re at four different courts, different buildings and just to have it all under one roof all right, where the whole community’s here and people in the Lehigh Valley here watching, I think it would be great.”
