Illegal Israeli colonizers, with army escorts, invaded several areas in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, particularly the governorates of Jenin, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Hebron.
Media sources reported that a large number of illegal settlers stormed the evacuated “Kadim” settlement, on Wednesday morning, located east of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
The colonizers invaded the colonial site close to the eastern neighborhood of Jenin city, while occupation soldiers provided armed security for the incursion.
At the same time, Israeli forces enhanced its security measures in the Jenin governorate in order to secure a large scale settlers’ incursion.
WAFA correspondent reported that the army deployed infantry at the entrances to the towns of Arraba, Ajja, Jaba’, and in the vicinity of the Sanur (Tarsala) settlement, southwest of Jenin city, under the pretext of protecting a settler invasion.
It is important to mention that in 2005, Israel evacuated 4 settlements in the northern West Bank (Ganim, Kadim, Sa-Nur, and Homesh) and 21 settlements in the Gaza Strip as part of its “Disengagement Plan”.
Meanwhile, large groups of colonizers stormed the village of Mikhmas, northeast of Jerusalem, sparking fear among residents.
Further north, many settlers gathered on “Mount Al-Asur” near the village of Kafr Malik, northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank, provoking panic among its residents.
Also in occupied Jerusalem, at least 508 Israeli colonizers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the protection of Israeli police.
According to the Jerusalem Governorate, more than 500 settlers stormed the courtyards of the Islamic holy site, and performed Talmudic rituals
Furthermore, the army provided security to settlers while they stormed the Solomon’s Pools area in Al-Khader town, southwest of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank.
WAFA correspondent reported that a large group of illegal settlers stormed the “Al-Barak” area, after soldiers closed off the area with a flying military roadblock, preventing access to the site.
Osama Makhamra, a local anti-settlement activist, told the WAFA News Agency that armed settlers stormed several areas in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the southern West Bank.
He added that the settlers damaged a fence and broke a number of fruit trees belonging to the citizen Mohammad al-Adra, near the “Rujum A’ali” area.
At the same time, groups of colonizers carried out provocative marches in several areas south of Hebron, raising the flag of the occupation and performing Talmudic rituals.
Earlier Wednesday, armed paramilitary settlers infiltrated the outskirts of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah in the central West Bank, firing live rounds at Palestinian citizens.
The young man Odah Atef Odah Awawda, 25, was critically injured from a live gunshot wound to the back; he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival to the hospital.
