Nay Aug Park soon will have more recreational activities and options to offer visitors to Scranton’s largest park. Multipurpose courts for pickleball and basketball constructed next to the pool complex are nearing full completion. And Nay Aug Park’s pool drought will end this year with the opening of a new “activity pool” that had construction completed last fall. With a walk-in beach entry, in-water seating and circular slide, the activity pool will have its inaugural summer season this year. “We are almost ready for showtime” with Nay Aug Park’s new attractions, Scranton Mayor Paige Gebhardt Cognetti said during an annual State of the City address held Wednesday at the University of Scranton. “It’s very exciting, with the multipurpose courts, with the pool complex, the Butterfly park.” The Butterfly Playground accessible play space for children and adults with disabilities opened last year.
