America250 celebrations are in the works, and 2026 marks an important year for Lawrence Park Township as it celebrates its Centennial Celebration.
The Lawrence Park Historical Society will be commemorating the milestone with several special events to honor the township’s rich history and community spirit.
One of the first events will be held on April 24 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. the “1926 Jazz Age Salon” will be an immersive evening that invites guests to take a step back to the Roaring Twenties. Guests can enjoy themed food, live music, period relevant entertainment, and even a Charleston dance lesson.
Those in attendance are encouraged to come dressed in their best 1920s style attire but this is not required to attend.
Wabtec will serve as the premier sponsor for the celebration as the company once General Electric had a foundational role in Lawrence Park’s creation.
